Our mud pads are engineered to fit standard pipe dimensions. Occasionally, pipe from different manufacturers can vary slightly in diameter due to coatings or production tolerances, which can affect fit. When that happens, a small amount of material removal, as you discovered, is typically all it takes to get things seated properly.
