  • (1) Aluminum grab-bar
  • (2) Aluminum 1.5” pipe 7’L
  • (2) Aluminum Sq. Tube runners with installed rubber V-Rollers and bolts.

Bolt Bags:
Bottom brace – Step #1

  • (8) 3/8 x 4” Stainless bolts

Grab Bar – Step #3

  • (2) 3/8 x 5” all thread bolts
  • (2) 3/8 x 1.5” all thread bolts

Optional Kandy Kane Mount:

  • *(2) Kandy Kane mounts
  • *(2) Kandy Kane receivers
  • *(2) 3/8 x 1 ¼” carriage bolts
  • *(4) 3/8 x 4” carriage bolts

Tools Needed:

  • 9/16” Wrench
  • 7/16” Drill bit

Step #1

  • Place both floating platforms roughly 3’ apart from each other.
  • Lay the Aluminum Tube Runners inside (on top) of the “V’s” on the floating platforms and attach them with the 3/8 x 4” stainless steel bolts (bolts should be inserted from bottom of the V up through V and aluminum tube with nut on top).
  • Loosely tighten all (8) bolts through the pre-drilled holes in the runners and aluminum platform frame. Finish Step #2 before tightening all the way
  • Step #2

  • Mount the square tube piece with the rubber V-roller to each inside end between the two dock sections. Put both sides in before fully tightening these and STEP #1.
  • * Pre-drilled holes are already in the aluminum V where most kayaks sit best on the rubber rollers. Some kayak bottoms are made differently and may require new holes drilled to move this bracket either up or down.

    Step #3

  • Place the Aluminum Grab-Bar in the very center of the inside of the floating platforms. There will be pre-drilled holes on the top and bottom of the grab-bar. Use the pre-drilled holes in the grab-bar as a guide to drill the holes through your decking and aluminum frame.
  • • Attach the 3/8 x 5” all thread bolts from the top going down through the grab-bar, the center sleeper board, and decking.
  • • Attach the 3/8 x 1.5” all thread bolts from the sides through the grab-bar and frame.
  • • Make sure all bolts are fastened tight.
  • Step #4 *Only necessary if you purchased the Kandy Kane attachment system.

  • Mount the pipe receivers onto your floating dock section as wide apart from each other as possible. Use (2) 3/8” x 4” carriage bolts per mount from top down **Drill these holes on a slight angle towards the outside of the dock to miss the floats drums underneath.
  • (1) 3/8” x 1 ¼” carriage bolt on the side face (3 total bolts used per pipe holder). Straddle the outside 2x4” sleeper board so that board fills the void between the decking and aluminum frame (or) use a 2x4” block to fill the void under the bracket.
  • You will need to lay out where you want to drill and attach the long Kandy Kane mounts to your other permanent structure (bolts not provided) – be sure to mount the plate as far out to the edge of the decking so there is a gap between the pipe and your decking.
